Drive columnist Joseph Trevithick said that UAF fighters are sawing up Western cluster munitions, extracting submunitions from them and using them as projectiles for drones.
According to him, the striking elements are converted into improvised projectiles that can be dropped from small drones.
At the same time, he noted that the warheads of the projectile are sawn by a grinder and this causes “concern in the issue of security.”
Trevithick stated that the process of dismantling the projectile by hand on the ground could cause enormous damage.
A day earlier, the Armed Forces of Ukraine fired two 155 mm cluster shells in Donetsk.
It was also reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Kupyansk are actively using cluster shells on positions.
