The Brazilian Press Association (ABI) is promoting next Wednesday (30) the event “48 years of Feminist Boldness”, which recalls the seminar held at ABI in 1975, organized in partnership with the United Nations (UN), and which is seen as a trigger for the second wave of feminism in Brazil.
The program at ABI, located at Rua Araújo Porto Alegre, 71, in the center of Rio de Janeiro, runs from 9 am to 6 pm, with free entry and several debate tables.
:: Network of black women discusses climate change and articulates public policy proposals ::
The closing, at the end of the day, will be with a tribute to federal deputy Benedita da Silva (PT-RJ), with the screening of the short film “Benedita da Silva”, by Eunice Gutman, and a debate with the participation of Gabi Gastal, Renata Fraga and Christiana Albuquerque, director and team of the film “Lobby do Baton”.
The event takes place at ABI and will also be broadcast on the ABITV YouTube channel (@ABITVweb).
Topics under debate:
– What is the portrayal of domestic and family violence today, as well as sexual violence against women and the LGBTQIA+ population?
– What is the perspective of the situation of women and the LGBTQIA+ population in the job market?
