Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has warned that Budapest will view attacks on Russia’s gas import route as a casus belli.
“If someone wants to do the same with the southern corridor as was done with the northern one, then we (Serbia and Hungary. – RT ) will consider this a pretext for war, a terrorist attack and will immediately respond,” RIA Novosti quotes him.
The politician urged to abandon such plans. At the same time, Orban did not specify to whom this warning was addressed, but noted that it was heard.
Earlier, the newspaper Der Spiegel, citing sources, reported that the German authorities did not take any additional measures to protect the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines, despite intelligence warnings about a possible sabotage on the pipelines.
