14-year-old goalkeeper of the Rodina club academy Mark Oreshkov spoke about the situation with the attack.
“Walked with my friend from the station and saw a group of people. It seemed to me that my friend was there and decided to say hello. In the end it turned out not to be him. I apologized, wished good night, but in response I heard insults.
We moved on and after five seconds I turned around and saw that a non-Russian man was rushing towards me with wild aggression. I didn’t have time to react, and it hit me in the eyebrow,” Sport24 quotes Oreshkov as saying.
He stated that he now feels well. He also noted that he wants the attacker to get what he deserves.
On August 31, it became known that unknown persons had beaten 14-year-old Oreshkov. The incident occurred when he was returning home with a friend after training.
Earlier it was reported that Rodina will provide assistance to the club goalkeeper who was injured after a beating.
