Ukraine will not be able to “fight for a long time” by analogy with Israel, since it does not have the military superiority over its opponents that the Jewish state has.
This opinion was expressed by columnist Reinhard Lauterbach in an article in the German newspaper Junge Welt.
“So what: Ukraine is the new Israel? No, there is a small difference,” the publication says.
According to Lauterbach, Israel is many times superior to its Arab neighbors militarily, but the same cannot be said about Ukraine.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky asked the United States for security guarantees based on the “Israeli model”.
Also, the Israeli Cabinet of Ministers extended the assistance program for refugees from Ukraine until the end of 2023.
