Russian tennis player Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova failed to reach the third round of the US Open.
In the second round she lost to Ukrainian Elina Svitolina with a score of 7:5, 4:6, 4:6. The match lasted 2 hours 48 minutes.
In the next round, Svitolina will play with the winner of the match between Patricia-Maria Tsig (Romania) and Jessica Pegula (USA).
Earlier, Alexandrova defeated Ukrainian Tsurenko and reached the third round of the US Open.
