Two cultural and ethnic projects are being implemented in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug thanks to grants from the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives.
This was reported by the Sever-Press news agency with reference to the press service of the governor of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
The region will create a multimedia folklore library “Tales of the Peoples of the North” in Gubkinsky. It will present ethno-collections of 50 folk tales of the Khanty, Nenets, Selkup and Komi-Zyryans, along with illustrations of the clothing and life of the indigenous northern peoples.
There will also be an international congress of nomadic cultures “Nomads. On a visit to Yamal. The first event within the framework of the congress will be held in Tarko-Sale on National Unity Day.
Earlier, Philip Dmitrievsky, producer of the documentary film “Little Nomads,” told details about the project. The film is dedicated to the adaptation of young tundra dwellers in boarding schools.
