China will not limit itself to just statements in response to US promises to provide military assistance to Taiwan – Washington has crossed the red line.
The materials of the Chinese newspaper Global Times note that the United States is deliberately provoking China. At the same time, the PRC leadership does not exclude the possible use of force, which will only be a measure to counter foreign interference.
“China’s strong dissatisfaction and strong opposition are clear, but China’s response to ongoing US provocations on the Taiwan issue will not be limited to mere statements,” the journalists noted.
Earlier, the US State Department approved the possible sale of equipment for F-16 fighter jets to Taiwan for $500 million.
Also, the Taiwanese newspaper Liberty Times Net wrote that Washington will supply Taipei with the first batch of Abrams tanks, which will include 38 combat vehicles, in 2024.
