The number of houses flooded as a result of heavy rains in the Primorsky Territory decreased from 533 to 148 within 24 hours.
This was reported to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the region.
“More than 350 houses and 750 adjacent areas were freed from water in Primorye within 24 hours,” the report says.
Currently, 148 residential buildings, 932 adjacent areas and 14 road sections remain flooded, the department added.
The press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations previously reported that due to a powerful cyclone in the Primorsky Territory, more than 500 residential buildings and 1.7 thousand adjacent areas were flooded.
Rescuers evacuated from flooded houses and transported 7,244 people, 1,061 of them children.
