Russian troops took two strong points and repelled five counterattacks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kupyansk direction, said the head of the press center of the Russian Armed Forces group “West” Sergei Zybinsky.
“Five counterattacks were repulsed by forces up to a platoon each, with the support of artillery and armored vehicles… The total enemy losses in manpower amounted to a company of military personnel,” RIA Novosti quotes him.
Earlier, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov, said that the Ukrainian army is indeed suffering heavy losses of personnel on the front line.
Retired LPR Lieutenant Colonel Andrei Marochko said that in three days of fighting, the Armed Forces of Ukraine lose up to 60% of fighters in some areas of the Kupyansky direction.
