The head coach of the Moscow football club CSKA Vladimir Fedotov said that defender Juninho Capishaba was supposed to arrive in Moscow along with the army newcomer Kelven.
“We were completely confident that Kapishaba would fly on the same plane as Kelven. This is a central defender, but everything quickly collapsed. We are looking, we hope. Strengthening is necessary,” RIA Novosti quotes Fedotov.
At the last moment, the Austrian company Red Bull, which controls the activities of the Brazilian club, vetoed the player’s transfer.
Capishaba has scored three goals and provided four assists in 41 appearances for Bragantino in all competitions this season. The defender’s contract with the club runs until December 31, 2026.
Earlier, the Sferico Sports agency confirmed negotiations between CSKA and the Casa Pia club on the transfer of defender Leonardo Lelu.
