Tens of thousands of guests at the Burning Man music and arts festival in Nevada were stranded in the desert due to heavy rainfall.
Due to bad weather, the organizers of the event were forced to suspend transport links with the outside world.
“The gates and airport of Black Rock City remain closed to entry and exit… Only emergency vehicles are permitted,” the festival’s official account said in a statement. Twitter
It is noted that access to the city is blocked before the end of the event.
The press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations previously reported that due to a powerful cyclone in the Primorsky Territory, more than 500 residential buildings and 1.7 thousand adjacent areas were flooded.
Rescuers evacuated from flooded houses and transported 7,244 people, 1,061 of them children.
