14-year-old tennis player Ksenia Efremova commented on the change of sports citizenship from Russian to French.
“When I received the notification that I had received citizenship, I was happy, surprised and shocked.
It changes a lot, it’s practically a new career. I am sure that I will receive tremendous support,” Tennis Majors quotes Efremova as saying.
Efremova is ranked 154th in the ITF junior rankings.
Previously, Alina Korneeva stated that she did not intend to change her sports citizenship.
