On Red Square in Moscow, activist Alena Kozhevnikova was detained, who went to the picket, wrapped in the Ukrainian flag. This was reported by the human rights project “OVD-Info” with reference to the activist herself.
Kozhevnikova is being taken to the Kitay-Gorod police station. A lawyer from OVD-Info, Alan Kibizov, came to see her.
Two protocols were drawn up against the activist: about “discrediting” the Russian army (Article 20.3.3 of the Administrative Code) and violation of the rules of participation in the action (Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code), MSK1.RU reports.
In February of this year, a court in Astrakhan fined and arrested for 5 days local activist Yaroslav Savin, a member of the PARNAS party, because of the Ukrainian flag emoji in his Telegram channel. Savin added a Ukrainian emoji to the name of his Telegram channel after February 24 last year.
For this, the police drew up a report against him under the article “on discrediting the Russian army,” and the Kirov Court of Astrakhan fined the activist 30 thousand rubles. At the same time, the flag of Ukraine is not recognized in Russia as an extremist symbol.
