The website De Olho Nos Ruralistas will celebrate, this Tuesday (5), its seven years of existence. The date will be remembered at a party at the Al Janiah restaurant, in the central region of São Paulo (SP), starting at 6:30 pm.
At the opening of the event, the De Olho nos Ruralistas team will talk to the public present at Al Janiah about the site’s next steps. Then, at 7:30 pm, the film Elizabeth will be shown.
The documentary tells the story of Elizabeth Teixeira, 98 years old, leader of the Liga Campesina in Paraíba and protagonist of Cabra Marcado para Morrer, a classic of national cinema. The film is directed by Vanessa Nicolav and Luís Indriúnas.
De Olho Nos Ruralistas investigates Brazilian agribusiness, with important revelations about environmental crimes promoted by landowners in the country. The site has an outstanding role in investigating the behind-the-scenes investigation of the Parliamentary Agribusiness Front (FPA).
