757 firearms seized: FSB suppresses activities of underground gunsmiths

The Federal Security Service of Russia has identified 217 clandestine manufacturers and sellers of weapons in 53 regions of the country. During the raids, 757 firearms of domestic and foreign production were seized, in particular rifles, carbines, machine guns, and machine guns. In addition, FSB officers discovered 87 kg of explosives. The activities of 84 underground weapons workshops were also suppressed. Operational activities were carried out in June – July in several constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
