Member of the German Bundestag from the Left Party Sarah Wagenknecht, who regularly criticizes Berlin’s policies regarding the Ukrainian conflict and advocates the lifting of sanctions against Russia, decided to found a party
This was reported by the German newspaper Bild.
“It has now become clear that there will be a Wagenknecht party,” the tabloid said, citing its own sources.
The politician herself said she would make a decision by the end of the year. According to her, the most important thing for the future party will be the pursuit of a foreign policy “that will again rely on diplomacy rather than on the supply of weapons” and which will be aimed at achieving peace with Russia.
Earlier, Wagenknecht said that she considers Germany’s refusal of Russian gas stupid.
