“This is another step in a series of violations of our rules. The IIHF Council will meet on Sunday to discuss this,” TASS quotes Tardif as saying.
On August 27, it became known that the Russian Hockey Federation banned Fedotov from playing for CSKA in the Kontinental Hockey League until January 1, 2024, supporting the decision of the IIHF. It is clarified that the federation approved CSKA’s application for Fedotov for the new season.
In September, Fedotov played in the KHL match with Ak Bars and Neftekhimik.
Earlier, Sergei Fedorov said that it is quite difficult for goalkeeper Ivan Fedotov to play without shots on goal.
