Russian cyclist Alexander Vlasov from the Bora Hansgrohe team retained eighth place in the overall standings of the Vuelta a España multi-day cycling race.
The 27-year-old athlete from Vyborg took seventh place in the 14th stage (length 156 km).
Belgian Remco Evenepoel (Soudal – Quick Step) finished first, Frenchman Romain Bardet (DSM Firmenich) second, Belgian Lennert Van Eetvelt (Lotto Dstny) third.
The leader in the overall standings is American Sepp Kuss (Jumbo Visma).
The 15th stage of the Vuelta will take place on September 10. The race will end in eight days.
It was previously reported that Vlasov rose to eighth place in the overall Vuelta standings after the 13th stage.
