CNPJ holders registered as Individual Microentrepreneurs (MEI) must issue invoices following the national standard. The rule is already in effect, and must be followed by all MEIs that provide services to legal entities (PJ). The registration system is available at this link.
According to the federal government, the single model for the Electronic Services Invoice (NFS-e) will help reduce bureaucracy. Sebrae, which guides entrepreneurs in the adaptation process, guarantees that this will reduce costs and increase efficiency for micro and small companies.
When making the first access to the National Portal for the Issuance of Electronic Invoices for Services, the micro-entrepreneur will have three options for login: with username and password (by registering information through the portal); digital certificate and gov.br account.
When accessing the system, it will be necessary to register the data of the economic activity developed and configure the company’s information in order to issue the invoices. Still on the first access, it will be necessary to access the settings and fill in the fields with e-mail and phone number registered with the city hall.
After completing the registration, it will be possible to issue the invoice in the national system. Simply access and choose an option between “Complete Issuance” and “Simplified Issuance”. In each case there is specific information and data that must be provided. Completing the service description and its value is mandatory.
After this process, the note can be issued. Before clicking the button to issue, it is essential to review all the information filled out.
Sebrae prepared an e-book with a step-by-step guide to answer the questions of individual microentrepreneurs. The telephone number 0800 570 0800 and email (email protected) are available for further clarification.
