President of the Russian Computer Sports Federation Dmitry Smith said that the organization has set a goal to switch to domestic games in the coming years.
“The global goal is to transfer domestic competitions to domestic games. I encounter skepticism about this, they say, it’s like transferring our officials to domestic cars. I won’t say anything about the Russian automobile industry, but we know how to make computer games,” RIA Novosti quotes Smith as saying.
He is also confident that it will take several years to switch to domestic games.
On August 28, the International Esports Federation allowed Russian teams to compete with the flag.
Earlier it was reported that analogues of FIFA and NHL sports simulators would be created in Russia.
