Football players and the coaching staff of the Russian national football team flew to Qatar and checked into a hotel in Doha.
Head coach Valery Karpin and his charges were greeted at the Doha hotel with the melody “Dear long”, RIA Novosti reports.
The meeting between the teams will be held on September 12 in El Wakra at the El Janoub Stadium. The match will start at 18:15 Moscow time. 25 Russian national team players arrived to play with the Qatari team.
The Russian national team on September 7 played a draw with Egypt (1:1). The second match between the teams will take place on September 11, also in Suez.
Earlier, the former striker of the Russian national team Ruslan Pimenov explained why Valery Karpin should release forwards Alexander Sobolev and Fedor Chalov on the field.
