Rafaela Pimenta, the agent of Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, commented on the player’s disqualification due to a positive doping test.
“We are waiting for control tests and until then we cannot say anything. What is certain is that Pogba never wanted to break the rules,” journalist Gianluca Di Marzio quotes Pimenta as saying.
On September 11, it became known that Pogba was temporarily disqualified due to a positive doping test in which testosterone levels were found to be too high. The test was taken after the match between Udinese and Juventus. The substance should not be taken without therapeutic exception.
The Frenchman faces a maximum penalty of four years’ ban.
It was previously reported that Pogba could continue his career in the Saudi Arabian championship.
