The Russian Ministry of Energy is working with businesses to prevent gasoline prices from growing at a faster pace, said the head of the department, Nikolai Shulginov, at the WEF-2023.
RIA Novosti writes about this.
According to him, the ministry is working with businesses so that retail prices do not grow at a faster pace.
Shulginov added that fuel prices in Russia are set by the market, but the fuel market should be moderately controlled.
Earlier, a group of deputies from the Liberal Democratic Party, headed by Leonid Slutsky, submitted to the State Duma a bill on the establishment by the Russian government of maximum permissible retail prices for motor gasoline and diesel fuel.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said that there is no shortage of fuel in the domestic market of Russia today.
