The Russian Defense Ministry reported that two Russian Tu-22M3 long-range bombers carried out a planned flight over the neutral waters of the Baltic Sea.
The report says that the aircraft escorted the crews of the Su-35S aerospace forces.
The flight lasted about five hours.
It is also specified that long-range aviation crews regularly fly over the neutral waters of the Arctic, North Atlantic, Black and Baltic Seas, as well as the Pacific Ocean.
In late August, it was reported that a Russian Su-30 aircraft on duty for air defense escorted a United States Air Force MQ-9A Reaper reconnaissance drone over the Black Sea.
