State Duma deputy Svetlana Zhurova spoke about the possibility of Russian athletes to compete at the Olympics in Paris.
“There will be few athletes who will go to the Olympics. Nothing depends on our decision. Athletes will go there anyway.
Maybe all the athletes will say that they are not ready to go. Except for tennis players, because they are fully selected. I think many Russians will say that they would not want this, ”Sport-Express quoted Zhurova as saying.
In March, the IOC announced recommendations on the admission of Russians to international competitions, which include individual admission, neutral status, a ban on participation in team sports, a ban on the participation of athletes associated with law enforcement agencies or expressing support for the SVO.
Earlier, Dmitry Svishchev spoke about the admission of Russian athletes to the 2024 Olympics.
