The Climate Change and Extreme Events program: Are we prepared? will approach the matter in a critical, current and purposeful way. Following the first meeting, which will seek to answer the question “Are disasters natural?”, legal, social and political issues will be discussed to encourage debate.
The program airs on the Brasil de Fato RS and Brasil de Fato YouTube channels, fortnightly, on alternating Wednesdays, at 7pm.
The program will feature a presentation by journalist and editor of Brasil de Fato RS Katia Marko and lawyer specializing in disasters and the environment Fernanda Damacena.

Naia Oliveira, sociologist, ecofeminist and former researcher at the RS Economy and Statistics Foundation (FEE), and Sílvia Marcuzzo, an environmental journalist who has been dedicated to the topic since 1993, in addition to having worked in several government bodies, will be present at the debut live. and the third sector in the area.
