Russian President Vladimir Putin recalled that not so long ago the use of cluster munitions was called a crime in the United States.
“This is a war crime. They (USA – RT) publicly said this. Now they themselves are supplying cluster munitions to the combat zone in Ukraine…. In general, they didn’t give a damn about what they thought about them,” Putin said at the WEF session.
Earlier, Deputy Secretary-General of the world organization Izumi Nakamitsu said that the UN expressed deep concern about the supply of cluster munitions to Ukraine.
First Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN, Dmitry Polyansky, stated that the use of cluster munitions does not give Ukraine an advantage on the battlefield.
