There is no question of giving up rupees in settlements with India; the parties are resolving the issue of money stuck in the accounts of Russian companies, said Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Andrei Rudenko.
“The question was not raised in this context, we intend to continue to use (calculations in rupees – RT) more actively,” RIA Novosti quotes Rudenko as saying on the sidelines of EEF-2023.
He noted that the Indian side understands the seriousness of the problem of frozen money.
Earlier, Deputy Chairman of the Bank of Russia Alexey Zabotkin called the volumes of rupees stuck in accounts insignificant.
