UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres announced his intention to discuss the grain deal next week during meetings with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
“Next week I will hold meetings with President Zelensky, President Erdogan and Minister Lavrov, at which, obviously, this issue will be the subject of our discussions,” TASS quoted him as saying during a press conference.
Earlier, official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said that Lavrov would hold about 20 bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
