US President Joe Biden said he told Russian leader Vladimir Putin at a summit in Geneva in June 2021 that China allegedly does not respect Russia.
As RIA Novosti reports, he announced this during a speech on the situation in the country’s economy.
According to Biden, he and his Russian counterpart talked about strategic stability. At the same time, as the American leader noted, he did not expect Moscow to involve Beijing in the negotiations.
“You have a lot of problems. And China doesn’t respect you that much,” Biden said.
Earlier, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that Russia and China currently pose “the most acute threat to the existing world order.”
US Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall also called for preparations for war with China.
