There can be no talk of Ukraine’s admission to NATO at the moment, said Polish President Andrzej Duda.
The Polish Press Agency PAP reports this.
According to the president, Ukraine’s entry into the military alliance would mean NATO entering the war with Russia.
“We were all well aware that at the moment there could be no question of directly accepting Ukraine as a full member of NATO,” Duda said.
Earlier, former French President Nicolas Sarkozy expressed the opinion that Ukraine’s accession to NATO would be regarded by Russia as a provocation.
Also, former intelligence officer of the US Armed Forces Scott Ritter noted that NATO will exist for another five to ten years.
