Advisor to the acting head of the DPR, Yan Gagin, said in an interview with RIA Novosti that Ukraine has already lost about half a million of its military personnel since the beginning of the Northern Military District.
According to him, such data is provided by intelligence and analysis of open sources.
“Ukraine not only now has a crisis of conscription resources, but it is close to a simple demographic breakdown,” Gagin said.
A day earlier, the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces during the attempt to storm Opytny in the DPR amounted to about 100 infantrymen.
Also, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 230 soldiers in a week near Artyomovsk and Novodruzhevsk.
