Former Belarusian national team footballer Alexander Gleb commented on the possible holding of friendly matches between clubs in the country and Russia.
“If, for example, CSKA comes, then I think the match will be a complete match. The idea is good. Only this information needs to be sent to clubs. If a top opponent comes, it will be interesting,” Metaratings quotes Gleb.
In February 2022, the International Football Federation (FIFA) and the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) suspended Russian teams from participating in tournaments due to the situation in Ukraine.
Earlier, Sergei Semak commented on the possible return of Russian clubs to international tournaments.
