Honored Coach of Russia Yuri Novikov commented on the words of Olympic hockey champion Dominik Hasek that the National Hockey League (NHL) should pay Ukraine $2-4 billion for the Russians’ play in the league.
“Hašek positions himself as a politician with an anti-Russian position. It is obvious that all his last words are of a purely political nature. But now he is also putting forward some unimaginable demands that do not honor him in the eyes of people. No one has been listening to Dominic for a long time, even if he himself doesn’t see it.
I would advise the Czech to come to Russia personally and clarify the situation with everyone. Dominic is a renowned goalkeeper who was loved and continues to be respected as an outstanding hockey player. A trip to Russia could remove the harshness from Hasek’s statements,” Novikov told RT.
It was previously reported that the former Spartak hockey player is confident that Hasek is not interested in the situation in Ukraine.
