According to RT, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine showed a lack of flexibility when planning combat operations, which led to a lack of success in the counteroffensive.
“When planning combat operations, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine showed a lack of flexibility, as a result of which, during the assault on one or two settlements, the defense of which was strengthened to the maximum, the Ukrainian troops lost the most combat-ready units and were forced to introduce strategic reserves, some of which were transferred from other directions, including from Artyomovsky, but this did not help,” says RT’s analysis.
Starting from June 4, the Ukrainian Armed Forces suffered continuous high losses in battles, but at the same time did not have sufficient operational reserves necessary for numerical superiority. Because of this, the Ukrainian Armed Forces were forced to leave units in battle, probably replenishing them with marching battalions.
“In other words, the core of the most trained military personnel with the best equipment gradually wore down over the course of three months, and trained and experienced fighters were replaced by inexperienced and often untested recruits,” the material notes.
As a result of this approach, the combat effectiveness of the formations involved from the very beginning of the offensive decreased, which caused an increase in irretrievable and sanitary losses.
Earlier, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said on Rossiya 1 that the Russian Armed Forces continue to destroy equipment and personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
