The US authorities added 20 Russian citizens to the sanctions register, including billionaires Igor Altushkin, Andrey Bokarev and Iskander Makhmudov, as well as several dozen Russian companies and organizations. This was reported on the website of the US Treasury.
US sanctions were announced against the chief designer of the Soyuz military plant, Mkrtich Okroyan, and members of his family, as well as adviser to the President of the Central African Republic, Vitaly Perfilyev (a key figure in the Wagner group in the Central African Republic – NV).
In addition, US authorities have introduced restrictions against Russian metallurgical and mining companies, including Russian Copper Company, United Metallurgical Company and Vorkutaugol. Also, the banks AK Bars and Cinco-Bank are now included in the US sanctions register.
Among the Russian transport companies subject to US sanctions, in particular, are AvtoVAZ, Moskvich, GAZ Group, Globaltrans, Transmashholding and Sollers.
After the announcement of the inclusion of the Sollers company in the sanctions list, its representatives stated that they do not expect consequences from this measure, since the group’s business “has been rebuilt to sanctions-resistant components supply channels.” At the same time, Sollers shares accelerated their fall after the news that the United States had imposed sanctions against the automaker, falling in price by 11.92%, quote.ru reports.
