Geopolitical Monitor writes about this.
It is noted that after creating tension between Russia and Ukraine, NATO would have to invoke Article 5 of its charter, and the United States does not want this. If Washington does not do this, then other countries will lose faith in the alliance’s commitments, and this will create a crisis of confidence in NATO.
In addition, admitting Ukraine to the alliance will potentially require large resources that Washington needs in other regions.
Also, Russia militarily does not pose a threat to NATO, and the conflict with Kiev is of no strategic interest for the alliance.
The translation of the article was prepared by InoTV.
Earlier, Polish President Andrzej Duda said that there could be no talk of Ukraine joining NATO at the moment.
