Russian Daniil Medvedev announced that he will not take part in the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) tournament in Zhuhai (China).
“I lost a lot of energy at the US Open. My morale is also not in the best shape. I hope to see you here next year.” stated Medvedev on social networks.
The day before, the finalist of the 2023 US Open announced that he had withdrawn from the exhibition tournament in Frankfurt.
The tournament in China will be held from September 20 to 26. Its prize fund will be $1 million.
Earlier it was reported that Medvedev took a medical timeout after the second game of the US Open final match with Novak Djokovic.
