More than 25 thousand people took part in the fight against forest fires in the Sverdlovsk region in the summer of 2023. Over 900 pieces of equipment were also involved.
Tagilcity.ru reports this with reference to the press service of the regional government.
Such data were presented by Deputy Governor Oleg Chemezov during the award ceremony for forest industry workers.
According to Chemezov, this year wildfires in the region were aggravated by intense heat, little rain and strong winds.
Earlier it was reported that in Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug the special fire regime was canceled as of September 14.
