Russia’s permanent representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya said that in 2023 the world organization received $1.83 billion to provide humanitarian assistance to Ukraine.
At the same time, he noted that this amount is $300 million more than to support the population of Syria.
“Ukraine confidently remains the leader in attracting donor attention,” RIA Novosti quotes the permanent representative.
Earlier, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres said that the world is far from resolving the crisis around Ukraine.
Also, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky accused the UN of unwillingness to put pressure on Russia.
