Freelance adviser to the acting governor of the Kherson region, Alexander Malkevich, said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are switching to scorched earth tactics in the Kherson direction.
He said this in a conversation with RIA Novosti.
Previously appointed by Ukraine, the head of the Kherson regional military administration, Alexander Prokudin, said that Kyiv had decided on the mandatory evacuation of families with children from 31 settlements in the part of the Kherson region controlled by the Kiev authorities.
“There is a complete feeling that people making decisions in Ukraine understand that in the foreseeable future Kherson will have to be returned, and accordingly, a scorched earth tactic will be adopted,” Malkevich emphasized.
He also announced an unfolding humanitarian catastrophe in Kherson, temporarily controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
