The head of the military committee of the North Atlantic Alliance, Admiral Rob Bauer, said that the slow advance of the Ukrainian Armed Forces during the counteroffensive is due to minefields.
Bauer said this during a press conference in Norway.
The admiral denied claims that the slow advance of the Ukrainian army is due to the low production capacity of the alliance countries for the production of ammunition.
“The reason that it takes so long … is that it is extremely dangerous, there are a huge number of mines laid,” RIA Novosti quotes him as saying.
Earlier, Forbes stated that the defensive tactics of Russian fighters with minefields thwarted the plans of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
