The decision on the transfer of long-range ATACMS missiles by the United States to Ukraine ahead of the visit of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to Washington has not yet been made.
RIA Novosti reports this with reference to the Pentagon.
“At this time, no decision has been made to provide ATACMS,” the department said.
At the same time, the Pentagon noted that Washington is in constant contact with Kiev regarding the needs of Ukraine.
Earlier, the WSJ wrote that the United States is studying sending ATACMS long-range missiles to Kyiv this fall.
It also became known that US President Joe Biden will meet with Zelensky next week.
