Orenburg head coach David Deogracia expressed hope that after the victory over the capital’s Lokomotiv in the match of the eighth round of the Russian Football Championship, the team will begin to have a white streak.
“I’m very happy, very grateful for this opportunity. This is the first such experience for me. So for me every game is like a final. I’m very happy for the team. Before that, she was going through a difficult period,” Match TV quotes the 50-year-old Spaniard.
According to him, at the moment more attention is paid to playing defense in training.
“Because we’ve had problems with this before. It’s very difficult to score points when they score on you a lot. Now this work is bearing fruit,” the coach added.
The game at the Russian Railways Arena ended with a score of 2:0 in favor of David Deogracia’s team. The goals were scored by Ivan Basic (85th minute), Dmitry Vorobyov (94th minute).
Loko is in eighth place in the standings with 12 points. Orenburg (eight) is in 11th place.
Earlier it was reported that Zenit bought Yaroslav Mikhailov from Paris NN and leased him to Orenburg.
