Moscow airports and Zhukovsky airport are operating normally, the Federal Air Transport Agency reported.
“As of 08:30 Moscow time on August 17, 2023, Moscow airports and Zhukovsky airport are operating as normal,” the message says.
The department noted that in the morning, in order to ensure safety, flights to Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports were temporarily limited, and one aircraft was sent to the alternate airport.
Earlier, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced the prevention of an attack by a drone flying towards Moscow.
Another drone, attempting to carry out an attack on Moscow, was shot down by air defense forces in the Ramensky district of the Moscow region.
