China has installed a research buoy in waters inside Japan’s exclusive economic zone near the disputed Senkaku Islands (Chinese name for Diaoyu).
Yomiuri writes about this.
According to the newspaper, Tokyo protested against these actions.
It is also noted that China may use research buoys to collect information about wave heights, currents and other factors in the area of the islands.
Earlier, Japan protested to China because of the entry of a military vessel into territorial waters.
It was also reported that the Chinese delegation canceled its visit to Japan due to the deterioration of relations between the countries.
