A Russian drone attacked a car in Ukraine with Swedish journalists wearing vests with the inscription “Press” on them. reports Director for International Security Studies of the European Expert Association Maria Avdeeva.
According to her information, the drone attacked TV4 journalist Johan Fredriksson and photographer Daniel Zdolsek when they, wearing vests and helmets with the inscription “Press”, got out of the car to take pictures. The incident occurred in the village of Stepnogorsk, Vasilyevsky district, Zaporozhye region.
Avdeeva writes that Fredriksson and Zdolsek were not injured.
On September 10, in the Donetsk region of Ukraine, two foreign volunteers were killed as a result of shelling of a car of the humanitarian organization Road to Relief.
There were four people in the car at the time of the attack; they left Slavyansk in the direction of Bakhmut in the morning.
“As they were driving through Chasov Yar, their car was attacked by Russian troops. As a result of a direct hit, the car overturned and caught fire,” the organization said in a statement. Canadian volunteer Anthony Ignat and Spanish volunteer Emma Igual, director of Road to Relief, were killed. Volunteers from Germany and Sweden Ruben Mavic and Johan Matthias Thier also received severe shrapnel wounds and burns.
