Due to a gas explosion in a nine-story residential building in Balashikha near Moscow, three floors collapsed and two balconies were destroyed.
TASS reports this with reference to the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Moscow region.
“Upon arrival of the first unit, collapse of slabs was observed on the 3rd, 4th and 5th floors,” the department said.
It is clarified that, according to preliminary data, two balconies were destroyed.
Earlier, the governor of the Moscow region, Andrei Vorobyov, reported that at least ten apartments were damaged due to the explosion in Balashikha.
The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case.
