Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Taras Kachka said in an interview with the Polish publication Rzeczpospolita that in the coming days Ukraine will introduce an embargo on a number of Polish agricultural products in response to the extension of the unilateral ban on the import of Ukrainian grain.
He added that Polish onions, tomatoes, cabbage and apples would be subject to the embargo.
According to the deputy minister, the main goal of Kiev’s complaint to the WTO is to prove that Poland “does not have the right to introduce such measures.”
Earlier, Polish journalist and publicist Łukasz Warzeha said that the recent realism in relations between Poland and Ukraine does not matter, since Warsaw has put itself in the role of a donor for Kyiv.
